Hockenhull Turkeys Ltd. was originally founded in 1954 by Hugh Arnold - and in 1962, Hugh went on to establish British United Turkeys (B.U.T.) Ltd. with the late Rupert Chalmers Watson and the late John Lintern; today, B.U.T. is owned by Aviagen Turkeys Ltd. Whilst the Hockenhull Turkeys Ltd. business lay dormant for more than four decades, in 2009 (with the full backing of Aviagen) Hockenhull Turkeys Ltd. re-entered the market as a producer and seller of premium-quality turkey poults for the UK’s Traditional Farm Fresh Market. In 2011 Hockenhull purchased the Holly Berry Hatcheries business, including the outstanding Holly Berry turkey breeds.
